Kyp Rowe is a British Columbia cannabis operator, brand builder, and legacy cannabis advocate with more than two decades of experience in cannabis culture and cultivation. Before legalization, Kyp founded Legends Seed Brokerage House, a seed brokerage operation that sourced cannabis genetics from Canada, Amsterdam, and international breeders during the late 1990s and early 2000s. His work connected Canadian growers with legacy cannabis genetics during a formative era of underground cannabis culture. After stepping away from cannabis for a period and working in the wine industry as a vineyard manager and cellar master in British Columbia’s Okanagan region, Kyp eventually returned to cannabis during the early stages of Canada’s regulated market transition. Today, Kyp serves as VP of Brand Development at Victoria Cannabis Company, a Vancouver Island-based craft cannabis producer focused on small-batch cultivation, farmgate retail, terpene-forward cultivars, and consumer education. He is known for advocating that cannabis companies should be led by cannabis people, not purely corporate operators disconnected from cannabis culture.
